Bollywood beauty Preity Zinta broke up with her industrialist boyfriend Ness Wadia to prevent her financial freedom, according to reports.

Rumours are doing the rounds that Ness had asked Preity to quit films after marriage, which was unacceptable to the actor. Preity is known as an independent woman who likes to take her own decisions.

Sources close to the couple said that the two were about to tie the knot by year end but this debate brought an end to their more than four-year-old relationship.

Reports also suggested that Preity had tried to convince Ness and in fact agreed on cutting down her movie assignments but this didn't go down well with Ness and hence the relationship ended.
